LPC24xx Family
Question: I am using LED on the output port of a LPC2468and I would like to know what is the maximum output current to drive LEDs and provide a bright light.

The maximum output current available for ALL ports is 100mA. But for each port the maximum current is 50mA:

In other words, using 16 LEDs, sinking 6mA from 16 ports at the same time, we get a total current of 96mA, below the maximum 100mA allowed to all ports.

Question: I am testing a SD/MMC – ARM communication and I reach bit rates up to 1Mb/s only. I need a larger bit rate. How can I get it with 2468?

In some cases, the bit rate is defined by the SD/MMC itself. Tests with LPC2378 have shown that, for a SD/MMC card from company ‘X’, bit rate could reach up to 3.4Mb/s:

For a SD/MMC card from company ‘Y’, results were different for the same test. The maximum bit rate achieved was 4.12Mb/s:

You can check if the SD card you are using has a low time access. It can be the reason of your low bit rate.
